ACUPUNCTURE
Acupuncture is a technique that uses the insertion of fine needles into the body at specific point shown as effective in the treatment of specific health problems. These points have been mapped by the Chinese over a period of thirty five hundred years ago. There are 14 major energy channels called meridians that course through the body. There is a subtle but vital energetic life force that courses through these channels called Qi (pronounced chee).
Dr. Diane Rooney uses an integrative approach to her acupuncture treatments. She incorporates classical meridian therapy, trigger point therapy, 5-element acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine, Japanese style, and French meridian acupuncture.
Treatments are tailored to the individual needs of the patient. Diane brings about healing by combining needling with essential oils, reiki, reflexology, massage, and spiritual companioning— never leaving the room so the patient can feel safe and cared for.

TAOIST HEALING PRACTICES
The strength of Taoism not only teaches a philosophy of life on how to live a harmonious and worry-free life, regardless of one’s circumstances, but also prescribes physical and breathing exercises that reduce stress and enhance physical and mental well-being.
Diane Rooney, whose focus is that of Taoist self-healing techniques, offers individualized and group sessions using qi gong, neigong, breath work, sound work, and visualization to nurture the body, the mind, and the spirit.

Reverend Dr. Diane Rooney is an ordained interspiritual minister, providing guidance in making meaning of life’s events and identifying growth and evolution from these circumstances. Diane Rooney is committed to deepening relationships to the Divine and supporting others in discovering and deepening theirs.
As an officiant, Diane offers individual spiritual companioning, or events such as weddings, baby blessings, memorials, funerals and worship services and lectures.
Diane also provides teachings and lectures to guide those in self-reflection and self-cultivation.
